Matias Braun
Matias is a ceramic artist, father, and surfer. He was born in Madrid, New Mexico, but raised and residing in Montezuma, Costa Rica. He attended University of Hawaii at Manoa where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics.
“I have two lines of work. One is drawn, incised and painted porcelain drawing inspiration from my time spent on the Hawaiian islands. The other is made with all Costa Rican materials. Everything from the clay to the glaze materials are sourced and processed by hand from local wild materials”
